the installation of a 10KW solar system at Ore General Hospital, located in the southern senatorial district of Ondo State, Nigeria.
Project Overview:
In April 2022, HOH Company, in partnership with local stakeholders, designed and installed a 10KW hybrid solar power system at Ore General Hospital. This installation was part of a broader initiative to electrify three general hospitals across Ondo State by providing each with a 30KW solar system, ensuring the reliability of healthcare services.
Ore General Hospital was particularly in need of a stable and continuous power supply to operate critical medical equipment. The new solar system now powers essential medical devices such as ventilators, incubators, suction units, and dialysis machines, greatly reducing downtime caused by power outages.
The 10KW solar power system at Ore General Hospital was comprised of 32 high-efficiency solar panels, 16 robust batteries, 10KVA inverters, and charge controllers to regulate the energy flow. Additionally, 30 solar poles were installed to ensure optimal energy capture. This setup was designed to ensure uninterrupted power supply for critical healthcare functions, particularly during periods of grid instability.

The successful installation of this solar system has significantly improved the hospital’s ability to deliver continuous care to patients. The 24-hour power supply ensures that medical equipment operates without interruptions, which is crucial for life-saving procedures.
